About
the Directors
Rabbi Efrat Zarren-Zohar did her undergraduate work in
Political Science and Women's Studies at the University of
Michigan, where she also worked as program director at the
University of Michigan Hillel. She received her Masters
degree in Hebrew Literature and ordination from the Hebrew
Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Efrat
served as assistant rabbi at Temple Solel in Hollywood for
one year and since then she has worked at the Center for the
Advancement of Jewish Education, where she presently is the
Director of Adult Learning and Growth.
Joel has a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Bar Ilan University in Israel. He has significant sales, marketing, technology and administrative experience having worked as Acquisitions Manager for United Bank Card in Miami Beach, Registrar for the Rabbi Alexander S. Gross Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach, Technology Consultant for TrialGraphix in Miramar FL, and Senior Product Consultant with LivePerson Inc. in Ra’anana, Israel. Joel and his wife Ariella, who is getting her doctorate at the University of Miami in Educational Administration, have a son, Amichai, who is currently in pre-school.
Shoshanah
has her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from Towson
State University in Maryland and served as an associate professor
in Hagerstown Community College for a number of years. Most
recently she's served as director of education at Sunrise
Jewish Center Religious School in Sunrise, Florida, the Volunteer
Coordinator in a Rehabilitation Hospital in Vero Beach, and
a part-time teacher at the Rabbi Alexander S. Gross Hebrew
Academy in Miami Beach. Best of all, she herself is a graduate
of the Melton School through the Broward County site.
