About
the Directors
Leah
Justin was born and educated in post war Melbourne. She has
been actively involved in the Jewish community with Descendants
of the Shoah and more recently with the Jewish Museum of Australia
as a guide. Melbourne is unusual in that the position of Melbourne
Faculty Head, Administrator and Director are roles that have
been split. This has been very successful in proving that
three heads are better than one, provided you've got the right
heads...and they do. Currently Leah is attending Melton graduate
classes.
Paul Forgasz has been working in various areas of both formal
and informal Jewish education since 1975. More recently he
has been the Headmaster of the Secondary School at Mount Scopus
College, a position which he relinquished at the end of 1998.
Since then he has been the College's Director of Education
and he also lectures in Jewish History and Civilisation at
Monash University, where he is also the Associate Director
of the Centre for the Study of Jewish Civilisation. Paul is
the head of faculty of the Florence Melton Mini School in
Melbourne and teaches both the Ethics and Dramas courses.
