"I
heard about Melton from two very good friends who just raved
about the program. I was at a place in my life where I was
not working full-time and the opportunity was right. Since
I had been a teacher for 20 years, the thought of now becoming
a student was a bit daunting. However, I kept in mind that
these courses were not requirements imposed by an institution,
but rather those I was choosing to study. One of the most
appealing aspects was that there were no tests or homework.
Unlike some college courses, I must admit that I learned something
from each and every class session. The instructors were knowledgeable,
covered their content areas well and encouraged class discussion.
Since every person came from a different background, the growth
I experienced was enriched by the wide range of perspectives
and insights that were shared by others. This course has provided
me with a stronger foundation of my Judaism and a clearer
understanding of my responsibilities as a Jewish woman."
