Kathleen Schifman
June 05 Seminar

The seminar was such an incredible experience, I feel totally blessed to have been able to be a part of the adventure. It was an amazing journey in that each step was more wonderful than the one before and I would find it difficult to pick only one favorite part. I would, however, like to share a moment. It was on a Shabbat afternoon and I opted to take a tour of the German colony of Jerusalem with Zohar. After the tour we went through a park (across from the Kind David Hotel I think) where we were to meet with our groups for se'udah shlisheet. I was standing at a place where I could see the walled off old city thinking "how magnificent"! Thousands of years ago people must have stood here and thought "surely God must live in this city." Then I gazed to my right and saw the wall that will someday separate the state of Israel from everyone else and thought, we may still be at war with our same enemy thousands of years later, but …thank God, we are still here.
