20th Anniversary of the Mini-School

Florence Melton’s 95th Year

10+-year Directors 

 

We are pleased to announce the 2007 Florence Melton Adult Mini-School champagne brunch celebration in honor of Florence Melton’s 95th year, the 20th anniversary of the Mini-School and the Directors who have been its champions for 10 years or more. This is an opportunity for communities to support the Mini-School and give special recognition to those whose dedication has made this the most innovative and successful adult Jewish education enterprise in the world.   

PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

Awards will be presented to the following Directors:  Rabbi Eve Ben Ora (Houston), Elaine Hirsch (Phoenix), Jody Hirsh (Milwaukee), Amy Karp (Pittsburgh), Betsy Katz (North American Director), Judy Kupchan (Chicago/BJE), Judy Meltzer (Baltimore), Yonatan Mirvis (International Director), Aliza Orent (Austin), Esther Zimand (St. Louis), and Rabbi Efrat Zarren Zohar (Miami).

WHEN AND WHERE

The celebration will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 11:45 AM at B'nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton, Florida, preceding the 3rd Annual International Alumni Association Study Retreat (Kallah) Feb 4-7.

TRANSPORTATION AND HOTEL

We recommend that you make reservations now, since we are approaching the height of the vacation season in Florida.  A block of rooms is available at the Holiday Inn Express, West Boca.  To secure a room at the rate of $89 + tax, call 561 482-7070 and mention the Melton group. (Do not call the 800-number.) 

COST

Tickets for the brunch are $100 each.   

HOST COMMITTEE

We are assembling a Host Committee to sponsor this event.
