You're beginning a Star-Trek of wonders
Tho' you may have seen Israel before
The sights and the sounds of our history
Beckon as never before
As a world of discovery surrounds you
You will never have enough time
To dwell on that magic connection
That says, "Aha - this moment is mine!"
But stake out a space for the moment
When you feel your soul taking wing
Hang on to the flight and the feelings
That separate wonders from things
Write it in life's memory journals
So you'll never have faulty recall
Did it happen at Yad Vashem or was it at the wall?
You'll know just where and when you made that magic connection
with our people, our land and Hashem.
Now that my message has reached you
I want to add this advice
Wear shoes that are cushy and comfy
even if they don't look so nice
Comfort is key in this journey
and I want to be sure you have fun
Even tho' tired and hungry
You'll be happy when the day is done.
