Filling in the pieces… The Israel Seminar

Participants from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and Colorado Springs, Boca Raton, Miami, Atlanta and Tucson in the US arrived in Jerusalem at the beginning of the week to participate in the Mini-School Israel Seminar.

After a tour of the Mt. Scopus campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a welcome dinner at the University Faculty Club, the participants were ready to begin their journey of the mind and the heart through the Land of Israel. Together they will explore the land and its narratives, study core texts on-site, constantly filling in the pieces of history.

Meeting up with the group at the Israel Museum towards the end of a very exhilarating first day in Jerusalem the atmosphere was one of excitement and keen interest about what awaits them during these next 11 days. By the time this day ended with a visit to the Western Wall tunnels everyone in the group was aware that this trip to Israel promises to be an experience of a lifetime.
