Graduation 5766 South Palm Beach County

Six snowbirds from various "northern" sites returned to Florida to graduate with their winter classmates and southern faculty. They joined the 70 local graduates creating the largest graduating class ever for the South Palm Beach County FMAMS. Among the graduates were two teachers, Hilary Arenstein and Dorianne Cofer who spoke beautifully about how the FMAMS has enriched their lives and enhanced their teaching. Jason Shames VP Campaign & Community Development of the local federation shared how the FMAMS has changed and improved the family conversations at his home as his wife Amy (5766 graduate) brought home her class discussions .Dr Leon Weissberg delivered a wonderful D'var Torah focusing on Birkat Hacohanim, especially appropriate for the occasion.
Rose Weitz, Karen Altschul, and Dotti Seaman all spoke about their FMAMS experiences and how they have become committed to developing the FMAMS Alumni Association as well as other local Jewish learning opportunities.
In closing the graduates were asked to derive inspiration from Florence Melton's example and use what they have been taught, to each in their own way, change the world.
