The role of the Director in the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School is a unique one, blending skills in educational supervision, administration, marketing and finance. In recognition of the many levels of achievement required for a successful Melton Mini-School professional, the Directors Certification is awarded to a select number of directors each year.

The directors may be nominated by their site liaisons or may self-nominate, and awarding of the Certification represents a high level of accomplishment for the local school and for the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School internationally.

Level One Directors Certification was awarded this year to : Bonni Goldberg of Portland, Oregon; Nina Luban of Westchester, NY; Debby Malissa of Philadelphia, PA; Rebecca Starr of Detroit, MI; and Judy Trotter of London, England. Level Two Certification, which recognizes an additional level of leadership in the Mini-School, was awarded to Judy Kupchan, of the Chicago BJE school and to Debby Malissa of Philadelphia, PA.
