The Winter Israel Seminar: Exploring the Land and its Narratives

The December 05 Seminar Group

Almost a week after the December-January seminar, we can look back on an outstanding experience for people coming together from three countries to explore the country, the land and its narratives in the way that is uniquely Melton: 24 people created a learning community lishma in spite of the geographical and other differences and because of their shared commitment to and pleasure in learning and building such a community.

Beginning on the first day of Hanukah, the seminar was marked by increasing enlightenment as we celebrated the festival together in various settings, from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv and Tsfat. The afterglow of the seminar will hopefully remain with all the participants, serving as an inspiration to each in his or her community, with new questions and challenges to address as they engage in continued learning.
