Dallas and Fort Worth hold Melton Graduations

Dallas

After two years of studying together, the 39 members of the 12th class of Dallas’ Florence Melton Adult Mini-School at the Aaron Family JCC gathered together on May 16 with their families to celebrate their learning accomplishments.

The evening’s keynote speaker was Rabbi Irving Greenberg, who gave a profound and moving lecture on “The Triumph of Life.” The lecture and graduation was open to the entire community and was made possible by the generosity of The Morton H. Meyerson Family Tzedakah Fund and The Howard and Leslie Schultz Family Foundation.

Fort Worth

The Fort Worth branch congratulates Richard Abrams, Arnold Barkman, Cathy Freid, Julienne Martinez, Joan Rosen, Sam Rosen, Barry Schneider, Dolores Schneider, Sara Wolin and Dianne Young, who graduated May 9.

The group is inviting one and all to join the coming academic year. All you need is two hours a week for 30 weeks,and $425. Partial scholarships are available in case of financial need. Everyone is invited to study, learn and enjoy. The new graduates are part of 3000 Mini-School students in 60 sites around the world who have completed the two-year course of study. The Florence Melton Adult Mini School, a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is the largest pluralistic adult Jewish education network in the world, and the students and faculty in the Metroplex are proud to be part of this adult education network.
