| Florence
wishes Steve Pollack, Irv and Duana Boiman well on their
trip to the Israel Seminar |
Following
a pre-seminar tour of the Mt. Scopus Campus of the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, everyone gathered on the first night
at the Hebrew University Faculty Club for the opening festive
dinner. From the very start the atmosphere in the room was
one of friendship and camaraderie, all having in common the
shared experience of studying with the Mini-School.
The participants of the seminar will tour the country and
will have an opportunity to visit sites in a manner that they
have never encountered before: texts will come alive for the
first time; the context of the historical events will became
clear; and the flow of the Jewish narrative in the land of
Israel will fall into place.
