Judy Mars Kupchan Appointed Director
of FMAMS North America

We are pleased to announce that Judy Mars Kupchan has accepted the appointment of North American Director. Judy will succeed Rabbi Loren Sykes who after much soul searching concerning his long-term personal and professional aspirations recently announced his intention to relinquish the position on July 31, 2009. The FMAMS Board is thankful to Rabbi Sykes for ensuring that the FMAMS meets the challenges presented by the current economic meltdown.

For Judy the appointment represents an "opportunity and a privilege to serve our mission of bringing more adult Jews to join the great Jewish conversation. These times require more learning, not less, and the Melton Mini-School has a unique role to play now more than ever."

Judy, who is currently the Associate Director of the North American Division, has served the organization in many capacities since 1994. Judy's passion, in-depth educational expertise and proven leadership skills will ensure that The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School will continue to impact the North American Jewish Community, especially during these challenging times.
