The
Florence Melton Adult Mini-School of Greater Philadelphia
held its 6th graduation exercises on a dreary Wednesday, May
25; however the mood in the room was bright, as evidenced
by the smiling faces and level of excitement of all in attendance--50
students, their families and the faculty.
In
a break with tradition, the keynote speaker was not a faculty
member, nor a representative of the Israeli Consulate, but
a Melton alumna and THE Founding member of Philadelphia's
Alumni Association, Gayle Kammerman. With Gayle's hands-on
involvement at the inaugural Association Kallah, held in Boca
Raton in January, her choice as speaker was "a no brainer."
Gayle brings her dedication, experience and enthusiasm to
any endeavor she undertakes. She is a loyal Meltonian; and
though she has relocated to New Jersey for the summers, and
Boca for the winters, it's clear her heart remains with her
Philadelphia
Melton family!
