Fifth International Faculty Seminar

Faculty from around the world have convened on Mt Scopus for the faculty conference. There was a great sense of excitement in the air as the conference began. International Director, Yonatan Mirvis, addressed the group, expressing to them the realization that Melton Mini-School's most important ingredient for its success has always been the excellence of our teachers. At the same time, he quoted the words of a Melton teacher who once said to him, "I work for a living, but I teach Melton for my soul." Rhoda Schochet, of The Joint Program for Jewish Education of Jewish Agency, sponsor of the Faculty Seminar for the past five years, told the group of the great pride they have in being sponsors of this important seminar. Faculty will study with Jewish scholars from the Hebrew University and other institutions in Israel, with their own colleagues and will enjoy a number of trips around Israel.
