About the Director
Sharon Glassberg has been with the Coalition for Jewish Education for eleven years, the past eight as Director of the department and Vice President for Programming of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. She is responsible for directing the Tucson Mini-School including “Advanced Jewish Learners” courses (Melton graduates and others) in addition to community adult education programs including Hallonot: Windows in the Jewish World, the Jewish Culture Shuk, and the Rabinnic Kallah. Outside of adult Jewish education, the CJE directs the Tucson Hebrew High School, B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy, PJ Library program, Holocaust Education and education and acculturation for the Russian refugee community. Sharon is also responsible for the community-wide Jewish educator inservice workshop and Teacher of the Year award, camp scholarships, staff development within the Jewish Federation and she is the Western Region Coordinator for the March of the Living. Sharon is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds a California teaching credential in addition to a Master’s degree in Counseling.
