About the Director
Wendy Stahl was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she received her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with major concentrations in Individual & Family Studies and Human Development, and an area of interest in French. She has completed the communal work management certification process through the YMCA of the USA and is a past recipient of the Annete Goodman Award for outstanding and dedicated service to the JCC field, and was a recipient of the Association of Jewish Center Professionals annual award for excellence in Jewish programming. Wendy began her career at the Sarasota Family YMCA and then moved on to the Flanzer Jewish Community Center in Sarasota, Florida. Wendy was then recruited to help open the new Merage JCC in Irvine, California where she served as the Director of Children & Camp Services. In the fall of 2005, Wendy was one of 18 JCC program directors that were accepted to the Lekhu Lakhem fellowship for exceptional day camp directors. It was at the beginning of this two year fellowship that Wendy met her husband who was the day camp director at the Memphis JCC. In July of 2006, Wendy joined her husband in Memphis where she now works as the Adult Services Director at the Memphis Jewish Community Center.
